hey guys, i just called vanderbilt and asked if they had sent out the mosaic invitations and the lady said something about something mailed a few days ago

i think she might have been referring to the ED II letters so i was wondering if someone else on here could call and confirm that MOSAIC letters were sent out

I got one! Sorry, I didn't see this thread when I posted another thread about my acceptance. I applied regular decision, and I found out in the mail today.

I got it too today. I was thrilled. I really like Vandy and it was a surprise that my Asian heritage actually helped me in the college admissions process.

However, I have a question, what happens if I can't attend and/or don't want to?

splintercell50, you should call admissions tomorrow and ask. I don't think there is any requirement on your part to attend, but you really should be asking them.

so, basically, if you got this means you will not get the scholarship interviw. because this is 3/13-16 and the scholarship thing is 3/16-18. I don't know how many will be able to be away from school from 3/13 - 3/18.

Don't really read into the MOSAIC invite thing too deeply. If you got in, you were among the best applicants in your respective minority so congrats. If not, it doesn't really mean anything.
Don't worry if you're not able to attend or have to leave early since the program isn't really anything. I attended last year and skipped two days of school and regretted it deeply (Calc test...). If you have a test/paper the following week just stick to that trust me. If you get paired up with a weird host or someone who just doesn't care, you will find this weekend a huge waste of time.

departed, did you learn anything valuable from the mosaic weekend? i don't want to miss too much schoolwork, but my parents keep insisting that it's a unique opportunity to learn alot about the school. do you think it'd be okay if i just went to the admitted students day in April?
