I constantly keep hearing engineering majors say their major is labor intensive and time consuming. And they always mention that liberal arts majors have so much more time and party more. And that's nor particularly reassuring for me, because well, I want to have a healthy social life. How much of this is exaggerated? Will I have some time to fool around if I keep up with time management?

I want a better idea of life as an engineering major. Can you guys post your schedules/timetables to get an idea of how much is devoted to class time? Also, can you give an estimate of how much time you guys put into homework and projects? What about part time jobs? Do engineering majors keep one or is just too much?

Going along with the notorious reputation of engineering, what is the campus perception of who is intelligent? Do all liberal arts majors seriously have that stigma of laziness/easiness? And of all people you've considered intelligent, are they all engineering/science types?

And that's kind of depressing for me. In all of high school, I've always been perceived as smart even though I've generally haven't worked any harder in mathematics and science. Just sounds like a sacrifice to keep my academic reputation up. Well, I guess it's not that improtant to me, but eh.
