<p>My general observation is that your gpa is a disconnect with your SAT/ACT scores. Why is that? Are you a foreign student? Is English your native/first language? Some other reason? I am no fan of standardized testing, but it is what it is and colleges do use them to determine who gets in and who gets deferred etc.</p>

<p>How much will your gpa compensate for your SAT/ACT scores? Some. But I don’t know how much. If you are a minority, that will help. </p>

<p>Any AP classes under your belt? Were they offered at your school? Does your school have notorious grade inflation? Or is it highly competitive and you are highly ranked in your class? Your class rank? </p>
