Can anyone help with these math Q's?

<p>I'm using Gruber's Complete SAT Math Workbook.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure I got these right but the answer key says they're wrong. </p>

<p>Directions: Multiply the following fractions without cancelling. (I'm at the very beginning of the book, yes, I know this is basic) </p>

<ol>
<li><p>8x1/3 I got 8/3. The answer says, a=150. </p></li>
<li><p>3/7x2/9 I got 6/63. The answer says, b=30. </p></li>
</ol>

<p>What the heck?</p>

<p>Are you 100% sure those are the directions?</p>

<p>Cause the answer key makes no sense.</p>

<p>Yes, I have quadruple checked I am looking at the right section, right problem, right answer. It’s very strange. I even did the problems by cancelling if possible. I think it may just be an error.</p>
