Can anyone not see their financial aid for ucla??

i STILL cant see my financial aid, and the phone lines are all busy. My parents are going nuts on me and im just worried. I went to my FAO, and it just says NO REQUEST stating that I didnt turn in fafsa or I need to submit my SIR. what to do? anyone? :(

EDIT-- okay so i called and they said that they will be posting my provisonal award tomorrow or wednesday. So to those who cant see it, go call them and see just for reassurance.

why cant they be like ucsd and the post it up all at the same time? lol

so i talked with someone about 20 minutes ago.
he said that all transfers who can’t already see will be able to see after 10am tomorrow (4/28/09)

^ awesome, THANK YOU! :D

the stress i go through for ucla sigh

This is really strange because I spoke to someone around 10:15 this morning and he told me that transfer ePALs are not going to be posted until May 1st. He also said that the April 30th deadline to apply for summer does not apply to transfer students. I hate conflicting information. :-(

Confused. So may 1st or tomorrow -_-

EDIT 2: the conversation went as follows.

Me: Hello, my name is (w/e you want it to be), and i have been accepted at ucla, but…

Counselor: (cutting in) Are you a transfer student?

Me: Yes.

Counselor: Then you will be able to see your ePAL tomorrow after 10.

Me: Ok, thanks, that’s what I was wondering.

Counselor: Yeah, tomorrow a little after 10am you can view your ePAL.

he seemed a bit harassed.

Wait, so is your post worthless or not?

Yes, I am not sure why there is conflicting information. I should add that the guy that was helping me put me on hold for a really long time before coming back and telling me May 1st. Maybe someone gave HIM bad info, KWIM? It is pretty annoying regardless. How are we supposed to make a decision without any financial aid info??

no, sorry about that, i decided to make it worthwhile so I edited it a second time.
i took out the first edit so i don’t confuse people.
the conversation is legitimate.

Edit 1: @ kc_sunshine101: Yeah, that’s the only thing that’s keeping me from accepting…

I hear you tagg. I went to the STOMP conference and someone from financial aid told us that we should not let the financial aspect prevent us from attending the school of our choice. I appreciate his sentiment, but come on. Who in their right mind would go into something like that blindly? The last thing I need is a mortgage for a student loan payment when all is said and done. It’s quite frustrating.

I hope that the person you spoke with is right, I don’t know if I have the patience to wait until the end of the week! It’s already been way too long!

haha, yeah, i love how they call it an “investment”
but again, they are right… at least for the most part.
gl with your aid

seriously as much as i love ucla and i wanna gothere badly, i NEED TO SEE MY FINANCIAL AID! im freaking poor and i dont wanna have loans in undergrad :frowning: i cant make the decision without it …

but thanks for everyones response! if we dont hear anything tomorrow, then we can just call again.

Mine was up as of two minutes ago, 9:59AM

My document tracking still says that they haven’t received my FAFSA. I don’t want to harass the FAO anymore than they already are, but should I call?
