D says expect pretty much a standard room – Fits a bed, desk, closet – but not particularly large. But it IS a single! There are larger singles in other dorms where one expects upperclassmen.

I have questions about Shorney. I heard it was good, close to things and many freshmen were there, but some people mentioned it might be loud and noisy? Can anyone tell me more about it? Thanks

My daughter is a first year in substance free/quiet housing and has been very happy, though she is not a partier. I think Shorney can be pretty loud toward the end of the week as folks cut loose early and often. She has some pals in Beta and Morrow, very small homes with a couple dozen students where there is a great deal of friendliness and community, but not too many parties.

Location of Shorney is great – near Curtis Dining and the academic quad.

Thank you NEMom1. It’s really helpful.
