Can anyone tell me what my chances are of being accepted to Yale from their own experience?

Yale is my dream school, I am a junior and plan to apply ED next year. Let me know what you think my chances of acceptance are:)

GPA: 4.10 (UW)/4.89 (W)
SAT score: 1510
6 APs to date (passed all tests) + 5 next year
4 college level psychology courses

EC:
Fellowship with a Medical School (I work around 20 hours a week with residency students at the different clinics)
President of the Psychology Club
Tutoring a student once a week through the Pay It Forward Club (which I am the secretary of)
VP of the Careers in Health Club
Member of the NHS Executive Board (Next year I’ll be the VP)
Mentoring middle school kids in costumes and makeup, which I design for our school plays (I make around 200 volunteer hours a year doing this)
Captain of my IEA Equestrian Team

I also play tennis, organize a TED Talk expo at our school every year, belong to almost every Honors Society, and am a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist.

Let me know what you think:)

You seem like a wonderful applicant, as are most students who will ultimately be rejected. As Yale receives more qualified applications than they have seats in their freshman class, Admissions uses a student’s teacher recommendations, guidance counselor’s Secondary School Report (SSR), Essays and Interview Report to choose one high performing student over another. They look for wonderful scholars of “good character” – that’s an old fashioned word meaning the way you develop your inner qualities, intellectual passion, maturity, social conscience, concern for community, tolerance, inclusiveness and love of learning. And none of those qualities can be gleaned from a post like yours.

Several years ago I posted my daughter’s stats. I think you should take a look, as she was rejected from Yale, waitlisted at Princeton and accepted to Harvard: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1619966-ivy-standards-for-rigor-of-highschool-curriculum-p1.html.

Bottom Line: NOBODY can predict your chances by looking at the the information you posted.

Best of luck to you!
