can ED school check if I didn't withdraw application?

I know you do not want to hear more from me, jellyya, but it is clear that you do not understand the financial aid process. I understand that you think that I do not know anything about financial aid, so I suggest you
-carefully read the financial aid websites of the schools you are applying to
-post a question on the International Student forum
-post a question on the Financial aid forum.

To use Dickinson as an example, they have SAT and TOEFL minimums to qualify for financial aid:

They also require that, in addition to the certification of finances (which is a US Government requirement for a student Visa, not a financial aid document), you complete either their own International Student financial aid application http://www.dickinson.edu/uploadedFiles/admissions/international/internationalfinaid.pdf</a> or the CSS/Profile https://profileonline.collegeboard.com/prf/index.jsp</a> :

Dickinson’s International Financial Aid Website: http://www.dickinson.edu/uploadedFiles/admissions/international/international%20cert.%20of%20finances.pdf</a></li>

As I said, I am aware that you are not interested in what I am saying, but I am concerned that you need to start making other plans in case your assumptions prove to be incorrect. Best of luck.

jellyya – It sounds like you have applied early decision somewhere but you are in need of financial aid in order to be able to attend the school. What you do now is wait and see if you are accepted early decision. If you are accepted then not long afterwards you will receive the financial aid package the school is offering you.

This award will not be how much money you think you need to attend, it will be how much money they need to give you to meet your full demonstrated financial need. (This is assuming they meet the full need for international students as well as for US students.) These numbers are not the same.

If your family feels that even with the financial aid package you are awarded they still can’t afford for you to attend the school then you need to notify them that you need to be released from your early decision contract. The school will let you opt out if you can’t afford it with the financial aid package they are offering you.

alamemom,
First of all, I never thought of not wanting to hear from you (or anyone). I’m glad that you take time to post on this thread and give me some useful infomation. If I don’t want to hear from you or not interested in what you were saying, why should I bother myself keep checking this thread and responding to your posts (or anybody’s posts)?
Secondly, I didn’t say (and don’t think) that you “do not know anything about financial aid.” I know that you know what you are talking about, I just gave reason why I believe like that (plus I already stated I might be mistaken). You just misunderstood. Again, I’m not angry or annoyed. I just want us to understand each other :)

About the reference, thank you for posting it here. I read it many times already and I’m aware that my scores are still a bit lower than what it should be. Acutally because of that, I almost turned down this college and not applying but my alumni encouraged me to apply and since his stat is similar to me, I just give myself a chance to try :)

PS. I went back and re-read my posts and don’t know which part of mine make you think that I don’t want to hear from you. It might be just your misunderstanding or that I just used wrong words. Anyhow, I hope that we now understand each other :)

Pea,

Thank you for the advice, I appriciate it  I will just wait and see what happens.
