can humans stop being humans? can animals become the next humans?

my conspiracy theory loving brother is always talking about a plot by scientists to reengineer the human body by convincing people that in order to live longer, they should replace their organs. he then goes on and on about how it is now possible to grow human nerve cells (and every other organ) in animal bodies and thus we arrive at inevitable:: humans will soon have the opportunity to live forever by continually replacing parts of themselves, incluiding their brains. ultimately, he is convinced that a master race will dawn but unlike all the other "master races" in history, everyone will like this one because everyone alive will be a part of it. so since everyone will be the same, will each and everyone of us still be uniquely human? and what about the animals? "Particularly worrisome to some scientists are the nightmare scenarios that could arise from the mixing of brain cells: What if a human mind somehow got trapped inside a sheep's head?"

is this as far-fetched as it sounds? or could it actually be real? is anyone else not only skeptical but semi-shocked/worried/disgusted?

sounds like a sci fi version of animal farm

the real question is: who cares?

You're right. It is as far-fetched as it sounds. In fact, all sci fi collusion theories are ridiculously absurd in my opinion.

Switching organs costs money. Do you have money?

but its so real!

and yes...i have the money but i refuse to be a minotaur! ;/
