Hello everyone!
I applied and got rejected from UCLA this admissions session. I foolishly applied for CS without having ever taken it in high school nor having any demonstrated interest for it (I didn’t even get into UCSD for CS, but they do, thankfully, consider alternate majors). At the time, however, I thought that UCLA considered alternate majors as well. However, as it turns out they don’t. My alternate major was econ, something for which I have achieved consistently high grades for and have also done a research paper on a topic related to economics (something I foolishly neglected to mention on all of my applications). I have been to the appeals page and it seems that their is no place to select what major your applying for, just some reasons why you should be reconsidered, making it seem that I would just be under reconsideration for CS.
So I was wondering whether UCLA allows people to appeal for majors other then the one they were initially considered for or not? I can’t seem to find this information on their website.
Thank you in advance!
