I'm currently in 10th grade, next year 11th grade. Can I apply this year?

For your information, I have passed my IGCSEs (O-Levels). I have 2000+ in both my SAT I and SAT II (Physics, Chemistry, Math II). I have not taken my APs, but I plan to take them next year.

For your information, I may target UCLA and Cornell. I have other colleges in sight too, but I'd like to highlight these two first.

P.S. This is for somebody else, but I will just put it here since it is relevant. If I skipped 10th grade to 11th grade, do I need to fill up anything for 10th grade? Or do I just fill in everything in 11th grade (including ECs)?

Most colleges and universities in the US will admit a student who they believe to be ready for college, regardless of that student’s age, or whether or not that student will finish secondary school before enrolling in college.

Check the college websites for information about Early Enrollment, or email the admissions office directly, and ask them what you will need to send as part of your application.

Do check first at each school. When my daughter graduated high school early with the intention of taking a gap year, the highly selective colleges she wanted to attend recommended that she wait to apply. They said that they would have concerns about the maturity of a seventeen year old, and that would count against her in the admissions process. Since you like LA, You might want to check out USC. I think they do have an early admissions program.

Although most colleges and universities will theoretically take students who are ready to start college early, without having completed high school, there is a special school for students who wish to enroll in college after the 10th grade - Bard College of Simon’s Rock.
