Can I apply to Harvard SCEA AND Cornell ED ???

I know SCEA means single choice but is that only referring to other SCEA? I have seen some people here on CC that applied to both…how does that work?

I have my heart set on Cornell but my parents and everyone around me is on my back to apply to Harvard. Harvard does not even have my intended major (which I am extremely passionate about).

Why would you apply somewhere that doesn’t have your major? “Why not” applications are why Harvard has a 5-something percent acceptance rate.

@bodangles I am a legacy at Harvard and have a few cousins that go there. In all honesty, I dont think Harvard is right for me. I would hate getting stressed out about a major i’m not even interested in so there’s really no point. However, I still want to know if it is even possible to apply

Early Action is a non-binding early program, meaning that if you are admitted you are not obligated to enroll. If you apply to Harvard under our Early Action program, you may also apply at the same time to any public college/university or to foreign universities but you are restricted from applying to other private universities’ Early Action and Early Decision programs.
