I've been courting Swarthmore and its getting serious.</p>

High School: public, very average, very few go on to prestigious schools.

First generation
one parent graduated high school, so first to go to college (besides my sister this fall.)

<p>My major will be English or something in the social sciences. Im interested in current events so thinking about maybe going into a nonprofit or doing some writing, maybe journalism.</p>
<p>My recommendations should be cool (my Journalism teacher tells me Im one of the best writers shes ever seen, we're great friends) but my guidance counselor doesnt know me very well personally. </p>
