Hello CC! First time posting here, love this site by the way. Anyways, I am a community college and independent studies junior student who can finish high school with a CHSPE in two months OR complete high school by the end of 2013 with a little plan since college classes count as double. Though I want to enter a university, such as Sonoma, for the Spring 2014 semester (to finish the rest of GE there; to get into real work-mode/get comfortable to the campus) but they are not accepting first-time freshman applicants for spring...currently this is my first semester at college, and by the end of the 2013 year I will have both semesters completed with about 18-27 units completed, depending if I take a summer classes....now since I am already in college, but still in high school until possibly the end 2013...could I be still considered a lower-division transfer student (for any college)?

Call Sonoma and ask them–that’s clearest. Also, get the name & contact info for whomever you speak with. Your HS college counselor should also be able to help.

who is providing your HS counseling? You need to work with this person to understand your options.

The UC schools say
CSU says
So while I won’t guarantee my answer is correct, from what I can see you are going to be a freshman applicant to the CSU or UC system.
