Can I do it?

Hi guys, I'm new to this whole CC thing so please don't judge so hard. I wanted to get a general idea of my chances getting into MIT with my classes and all. Firstly, I'm gonna freshman and I'm taking the following classes: English Honors, Bio H, Algebra 2, Geo/Trig H, and History H. I'm planning on doing the debate, science, math, and tutoring clubs for this year. Just reply with your thoughts and comment on what you guys think i should do. :D

Take as many honors/AP/IB classes as you can handle. What’s way more important is getting straight As in the classes, doing good on the SAT/ACT, and ESPECIALLY doing long-term dedicated extracurricular stuff, like research, volunteering, internships, and joining/starting school clubs and getting leadership positions in them

1) Your username doesn’t promote a love of learning, an imperative trait for a prospective MIT student, so…yeah, glean from that what you will.

2) It is literally impossible to chance someone who’s not even in high school yet. Most people change a lot by their senior year, and without high school grades, ECs, and test scores, we have no way of estimating your chances. Honestly, just do whatever you want to do, and when it comes time to apply to colleges, find ones that fit you instead of spending 3+ years shaping yourself to fit a certain college.

Thank you. I was out of town so I didn’t have Internet.

This will definitely boost your chance a lot: get an IMO gold medal
