Hey,

Not possible. You’d have to do a dual degree 5 year program. BME is SEAS, Eng is CC.

^so double majors across schools aren’t possible at columbia??

like if i wanted a double major, it would have to be two subjects at the same school? is that true for most universities that have distinct colleges–one for arts and sciences and one for engineering?

“double majoring” in SEAS is, for the vast majority, not a feasible option due mostly to the number of requirements of a SEAS major. You can however minor in any engineering and most humanities disciplines if you are in SEAS. BMEs usually minor in econ or philosophy in CC

thanks for the responses=)

just to clarify, could i could MINOR in engineering at SEAS and major in English or something else humanities?? would i be applying to SEAS then or would that require applying to CC?

you can’t minor in engineering if you are in CC. and if you are in SEAS you must major in one of the ~15 engineering majors in the school.
