I apologize for any grammar or spelling mistakes because I typed this on my phone. I posted this yesterday but only had 1 reply
I am a senior in high school and I just submitted my application to NC State University. I have 3 d’s, 5 c’s, 10 b’s, 16a’s (this is including dual enrollment classes). I have taken all honors classes except for one. I took 7 credit hours (3 classes) this past summer, this fall I took 23 credit hours (7 classes) all at a community college as dual enrollment. I am scheduled to take an additional 19 credit hours (5 classes) at the college this spring. My current community college GPA is a 4.0 with 30 completed credit hours, 19 additional in progress. My high school weighted GPA is a 3.7 and unweighted is a 3.1. My extracurriculars are very slim since I worked 35 hours per week in 11th and 12th grade. I am in The National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi at my current community college, which is a nationally recognized honors society. My ACT composite score is a 28; 25 on English, 28 on math, 29 on reading, and 28 on science. Writing and English combined was a 19. What are my chances of being accepted to state? You can tell by some of my grades I slacked off early on in high school but I fixed myself my 2nd half of my junior year. I explained in my essay this was due to the fact of me not being able to handle the freedom I was given as a result of my mother being in nursing school. I still took full responsibility for it in my essay as well. While state is my main concern, I applied to East Carolina University (ECU) as my backup plan. Chances for both, focusing on NCSU?
Thanks, tm
