Thanks alot for chancing me earlier! I`m no expert, but I really think you will get in. Just write a compelling personal statement :)

Harvard : Low reach

Thanks @ShaunakK98 :)

@guddarag thanks! What do you think I should improve to get better chances? I still have time. :)

Wow, congrats on your SAT score! I know a guy who got a 2400 and he is now a sophomore at Harvard. I think you have a really good chance of getting in because that is a major accomplishment :)

@kiwigirl18 thanks! That really boosts my morale

@falcon1, just curious, any sources for that 25-30 % statistic?

YESS ADD THAT

I posted my sources a while back once. Don’t know if I can find them again.

@Hapaz98 just one last thing, do you think I should talk about my speaking problem when I was small? I had it throughout my elementary and middle school. Thanks so much for your help

low reach/reach but it’s that for everyone…

Ehh probably not I mean I’m sure if that will anything. But asked in an interview or something about any struggles you’ve overcomed then yea tell them it otherwise. It’s justs guess there?.

@hapaz98 don’t you think that will make me look unique? Thanks :)

I think with your 2400 SAT and a very curious activity towards vegan stuff, you are likely to get in. First of all, you should describe this application making etc. Then try to compansate for your grade average. Just make it not so eye-starining :D. I think you will get in. Just prepare great essays and it’s fine. 2400 is already an achievment and if you add to it great EC, you are in.

@Render1212 thanks so much good luck with your admission too

Okay, you will get admitted. So apply early to Harvard and if you get rejected. Oh well, we aren’t admission officers.

@boomboom123 lol thanks anyway

@harvardreams Well, RAISE YOUR GP TO THE LEVEL OF 4

@guddarag I will try my best. Do you know what is the lowest gpa that they accepted?

@guddarag It’s junior year, I don’t think GPA can be raised to a 4. However, if she makes all A’s, she can make a 3.9+ (which is still pretty good).

@Harvardreamss You’re fine. Your SAT/GPA shows you’re academically qualified. The next thing are your ECs/Essays, which look very interesting. Perhaps you can write an essay on the difference between being a “vegetarian” instead of a “vegan?” Just a suggestion. I think the lower ivies are reaches for you, and you definitely have a shot at Princeton, Harvard, and Yale. If all goes well, I believe you have a 95-100% chance at those schools.

Early Action acceptance last year for all was 21%. 10% of the total apps were black, roughly 400+. Of those roughly 24% were accepted, which is 11% of total accepted. So 76% of blacks are rejected, which is not far off of the total overall
rejection rate of 79%.
