hi,i dnt have gud gpa in my b.s.c engineering still i dream of getting admission in mit.tell me frankly is it seems possible :if i get gud scores in tests like ielts or gre,ha?

hi, i thinks that you get asmissions in mit if you get gud scores and other stuff ya know? kool?

hahaha Gryffon

i got 1420 in gre.but my cgpa is 3.1.is it sufficient or nt?
r u studying in mit?

I hope you aren’t even being serious dude. MIT is for geniuses. A 3.1 gpa on a 4.0 scale is about 1.5 points too low. You can still do engineering. So good luck and all.

Please write more intelligibly.

(However, I don’t think anyone with a 3.1 GPA has good chances.)

No 10char.

that was a joke by the way. there’s no way we can tell for sure whether or not you’ll get admitted. however, your chances aren’t very good. i’m only posting this so the hyperactive mods don’t give me a warning for putting someone down. by the way, if you spell words out completely and use punctuation marks, you won’t come off as stupid on the internet.

First off, I think this is why chances threads are a bad idea because it’s just setting up people for either more stress or disappointment. I’m not really one who tries to champion for other people, but you are putting somebody down. Not to mentioned, you just said he came across as stupid.

Although I shouldn’t make guesses as to what the OP’s chances are, this is what I feel he should improve on. To be perfectly honest, I would objectively say that his English needs to be a lot better if he were to attend an American university. Not to mention that guessing from this question, he hasn’t looked around to either consider the international applicant pool or the competitiveness of the school.

Is it the only CGPA who matters not my GRE scores???..I am asking that to get admission in MIT do I only have to improve my CGPA.And are my GRE scores of 1420 worthless???
what u think with 3.1/1420 where i`ll manage to get admission across USA?
One of you said that MIT is for geniuses.Ok I agreed, but can you tell me please that what is the criteria of geniusness for them?
In your part for getting admission on funding in top universities like MIT and STANFORD what should be the CGPA and GRE scores approximately, cause I saw on MIT website that to be an applicant one should has the min CGPA of 3 with 1250 in GRE.Is it?

For graduate (Master’s of Science) admission, you apply to the program and not to MIT, so it matters what subject you plan to apply for. The engineering departments vary somewhat in their competitiveness, but most are pretty tough, especially for international students – the Electrical Engineering/Computer Science department usually has an overall admission rate of about 5%.

Overall, graduate admissions depend on having a strong GPA and GRE score, but also strongly on your other accomplishments and your letters of recommendation.
