plan on applying to major in creative writing in an effort to promote interest adn hear application is easier in this major

granted this will be a long shot at best, what are my chances and what can i still do to help this work out. anything from communication to admission application tips to activities to scores and gpa advice, ill take it all, USC is my dream and i will do anything to get there asap

Your ACT is right on target, but your GPA is probably going to be too low for you to have a good chance at getting in. 90% of them had a GPA of 3.75 or higher. The rest were above 3.25. Apply, but look at plenty of other schools that are more in your range.

k, i know several students who got accepted with only a 3.0 for spring semester and if thats wat i get im totally down with that. if i try hard and get a 4.0 senior year first trimester, explain what happened freshman year and have great esssays/recs, how do i look? also, what else can i do with so little time, what should i do with regards to application that can help me stand out?

i'm not tryin to hurt your feelings, buddy, but i don't think you'll get in. your scores/gpa are just too low. unless you have the interview of your life, i just don't see you getting in.
to improve, you could raise your test scores and get straight A's senior year. but even then your EC's are stellar.
