Can I get in anywhere??

<p>What are my chances at these schools?</p>

Monmouth university</p>

<p>Question: if my chances are very high is it possible to get merit, and need based aid? And practically go for free/cheap? </p>

Minor: Business
Current Junior
White, southeastern PA resident + first generation college student.
GPA: 88% (out of 100)
Class rank: top 60% (competitive private catholic school.) --I know, very low...Should be 50% by senior year
SAT: 1770
(CR-600) (M-580) (W-590) (essay-8)

Football: 9th-Freshman (team captain), 10th-V.
Basketball:9th-JV, 10th-V, intramural-11th (planning to play 12th).
Tennis- 10th-V, (will play 11th-V & 12th-V)(hoping to be captain senior year).
World Affairs Club:9th, 10th, 11th, (12th) (secretary-11th) (VP-12th).
Will be starting my own club next year (a student investors/money management club) will be the president of this club. </p>

<p>I am planning on improving my SAT score quite a bit (via prep books) and hoping to move it up to 1950-2000 by October's SAT. </p>

<p>Please offer suggestions for me too. Preferably schools that I can go to for cheap.(northeastern region, no further south than Maryland no further west than western PA.)</p>

<p>Stony Brook sounds like an obvious choice for you. It’s in Long Island, NY.</p>

<p>I don’t know much about many of the schools on your list but you’ll definitely get into UMass Amherst and Boston. I have the same SAT score and GPA (uw) as you and I got into Emerson, Ithaca and Lesley so you’ll be fine.</p>
