What are my chances? + suggestions.

Colleges: (alphabetical order). Boston University. University of Delaware. East Carolina. Emmanuel College. Lycoming college. University of Maryland (College park). University of Massachusetts (Boston). Northeastern University. West Chester University. (PA).

(Currently a junior)

Financially- I am able to pay but am planning on going to med school so some financial aid is somewhat of a necessity. Major: Biology + Minor: Business White, southeastern PA resident

GPA: 87% (out of 100) don't know 4.0 equivalent but probably around 3.47-3.5.

Class rank: top 50% (very competitive private catholic school). SAT: 1780 (CR-580) (M-550) (W-650) __this is from a practice test in a prep book (haven't taken an official SAT yet.)

Also I am planning on improving my SAT score quite a bit (due to my time off from basketball this winter (via prep classes and prep books) and hoping to move up to the 1850-1950 range (if possible)

PS: Don't worry about being harsh I understand some of these schools may currently be reaches, and also please offer suggestions for me!(northeastern region, no farther south than Maryland no farther west than western PA.)
Thank You! Will chance back if I can figure out how! (I am new to posting on here.)

Wow what a fail! I will certainly chance back anyone that goes through the trouble of reading this format.

I just checked and East Carolina could be a safety for you. So you might even be able to get some merit money there. BU, Northeastern and U of Maryland seem like reaches.

What about Rutgers, Temple and JMU?

Think you I’ve actually been considering adding jmu and catholic to my list, and what do you think about u del., Emmanuel, and u mass for me?

And I’m planning on posting a much more organized thread with my ec’s included in the future, because I think I could turn Maryland into a match with my ec’s and slightly improved scores

U mass and del would be solid matches if u get the sat score up. Not sure about emmanuel. Maybe Marist and u of hartford. You might get merit aid at hartford. Oh and Towson state could be a safety.

Enjoy!

Thank you so much!
