Alright I’m not completely sure what that post exactly means… But thanks?

Can anyone else be more helpful?

Bump 10char

You look like a solid candidate from an underrepresented state–class rank generally means more to the admissions committees at Georgetown than GPA, with the vast majority of accepted students in the top 5% of their class (and relatively few outside of the top 10%).

Bump 10char

Anyone else?

I think it sounds good. You have a great ACT, and the committee should love some of the community service, esp the mission trips. I like the mix between sports, service and music in your ECs. The biggest factor in determining what else to do, besides keep up the grades and make sure you’re top 5% would be which school? If you want to do Walsh, you may want to consider joining a speaking club like debate or Model UN. If you are looking at MSB, consider a finance/stock market/microfinance club, honor societies, or work or intern at a business to boost business cred. Your nice mix of stats and ECs should put you well in the range of the College. Also, please study up hard for those APs… It’d be nice to put at least one 5 on your app. Use your summer wisely! try and do something that would look good. Also, you need to take 3 SAT IIs. The best time is usually the may or june exam, when you’ll remember everything from your AP classes

Alright thank you!! I’ll be applying to the business school!

Your ACT, ECs, and community service look pretty solid. I agree with the suggestion to take SAT IIs towards the end of this year–however, last year I took 3 in the middle of the two AP testing weeks. I was very stressed, and I think I would have done better if I took advantage of the June date. That’s just my opinion, though. Is there any way you could take AP English your senior year? I think that and keeping the GPA high will make you a solid candidate. Top 5% is definitely ideal.

I will be taking the IIs in June. I am not taking ap English senior year because ap am lit makes me want to punch a hole in the wall three to four times a day.

Bumpity bump

Is early action a good idea for me?

Is Canada north of the US? (yes)

Your extra-curriculars are decent…lots of community service, mission trips, blah blah blah…pretty much like every other Georgetown applicant. Nothing you can really change about ECs at this point though. Scores are good. GPA could be higher. Make sure your essays are solid as well as your interview. From what it sounds like, you are “confident” that you can get in, but you shouldn’t just blow off the essays and interview thinking your high ACT score will get you in. I’d recommend early action since you don’t really have anything to lose. Good luck to you.
