@ kelloggss: Supplements or supplemental information requests are things sent out by UC Berkeley and UCLA to borderline or special case students to get additional information.

i’m a special case student having attended freshman year in a NJ hs, then 10th & 11th grade in pakistan under the british system, and then senior year in a different NJ hs.

yet, i have not received a supplemental information request. does this mean i should expect a rejection? to give you an idea here’s a snippit of my stats:

2270 SATs
800 M2, 790 Chem, 750 Physics

varsity bball captain & mvp
myriad of comm. service
not too many clubs since i was changing schools (and thereby no officer positions in any clubs)

@ talaalazeem: Err, I meant special case students as in students who have some sort of mental condition. I’m pretty sure UC Berkeley sent out some supplements to these kinds of applicants. So I don’t really know about your case, although your stats are very impressive.

@ thisgirlisaG: Thanks for the stupid answer…You can shut up since you clearly don’t know anything. Obviously, I “could” get in, but I’m just wondering how likely this is or the statistics behind this type of case.

Well, to be honest, UCB is notoriously random at this kinda of stuff.

I got rejected into UCSD, only to be accepted by UCLA the same day. I didn’t get a supplement from UCLA, but I was still probably a weaker applicant for LA.

I’m waiting for UCB too, but if you got into LA then it’s 50/50. You’ve done everything you can at this point so chill.

There are a ton of people who get into one but not the other, and a lot get into both. At least you’re not one of the people who got rejected from both though!

from what i have noticed it is very arbitrary, but to answer your question … yes you have a chance and if your stats are competitive then you have a good chance. i received a supplement from ucla (and i thought i was way better then borderline) but still got rejected… however i’m still hoping for cal. i’m oos so my chances are a lot lower then yours, but good luck let us know how it goes!

and regarding thisgirlisaG, don’t worry about what she says. she has already called me annoying and whiny on multiple situations and has wished me a rejection from all my colleges. just ignore her, from what i’ve seen she never has anything helpful to say to anyone.

^Hmmm alright, I guess we just have to wait and see at this point XO good luck to you man.

Yeah, I could kinda tell that thisgirlsisaG is the type of person who thinks she’s hella smart and bad a** even though she’s an idiot and nobody likes her.

“@ thisgirlisaG: Thanks for the stupid answer…You can shut up since you clearly don’t know anything. Obviously, I “could” get in, but I’m just wondering how likely this is or the statistics behind this type of case.”

judging by your apparent lack of intelligence, obviously not very high. then again, “i don’t know anything” ;)

“and regarding thisgirlisaG, don’t worry about what she says. she has already called me annoying and whiny on multiple situations”

jackdaniels, u ARE annoying & whiny…get over it.

“Yeah, I could kinda tell that thisgirlsisaG is the type of person who thinks she’s hella smart and bad a**”

actually, i never really thought about it like that. but, obviously, u have. so thanks for calling me smart & badass! <3
