I have a unweighted gpa of 3.25 and a weighted gpa of 3.75 and I am a resident of NJ so I would be an in-state student. I am a senior right now. I have enrolled in 8 AP courses including this year, and screwed up some grades in junior year because it's just got too overwhelming and I slacked off, hence the low gpa.
I have an ACT score of 29 and have retaken it and hopefully I'll get above a 31.
I am in several clubs including debate, environmental, MUN and several others and hold a officer position in one.
I have about 150 volunteer hours and I have worked at a dental office for almost 3 years.
I am worried because I attend a highly competitive high school which has always ranked within top 20 in NJ and at some point couple of years ago ranked within number top 5 in new jersey. I know rutgers look at class rank heavily, so I'm worried because everyone else at my school in super competitive and my ranking probably is low.
What are my chances of getting in the New Brunswick campus?

Probably decent chance. I know people from my school with lower stats got in, in-state as well. Get that 31 or higher and it’s almost given. But with your lower GPA, make sure you stay diligent with schoolwork.

I’d say good chance, considering you are in-state, your ACTs & course rigor. But you should definitely work hard your first semester to help boost your GPA.

It depends which school you are applying to at rutgers. Also rutgers wants the sat not act.

Id say your in because your in state, i think act and gpa are borderline. but i think in state will help. class rank isnt as significant as your grades straight up. if your junior year grades are that bad, might want to look for a safety.

Chance me please:
