Can I get in?

I just applied for the university of Iowa today. My school doesn't rank, so I can't find out my Rai. I have a 3.33 gpa and a 25 on my act. What are my chances?

yeah bro, you will be admitted. Admissions are not very selective at Iowa at all. A girl got a 20 on her ACT and similar gpa , and still was admitted. you will be fine.

Use a conservative estimate of your class rank - maybe 50% and calculate. The formula weights your college prep classes heavily, so if you’ve taken a lot of those you should be fine.

Other factors may include if you are in-state or OOS, what major you are declaring, strength of your HS classes, and perhaps the relative strength of your HS. If you think you are on the bubble, I believe you could apply for individual review by submitting a personal statement and two letters of recommendation.

Good luck!

Thanks alot everyone!! I go to a private school out of state with a senior schedule of pre calc Spainish 4 English 4 phyiscs ap gov religion 4 and a couple of other electives

Got accepted yesterday!

That’s great, Bryanwalt! Now you know what to do - apply for housing!

Congrats!

I second BeastMan’s suggestion to get into the housing queue right away, to maximize your chances of getting your preferred dorm.
