Can I get in... ??

Well, I'm a sophmore at a SUNY Community College and looking to go into Binghamton as an Accounting major. On a brochure I got from a rep it says the average GPA is a 3.4, mine was a 3.89 at Hofstra (was there for my freshmen year and left for financial reasons) and now will hopefully be a 4.0 this semester at CC. I think SAT average was 1260 or 70 and mine was only a 1200, but I heard SATs don't matter once you've been in college for over a year?

Do I have a shot at Binghamton as a junior?

I'm really interested in going there and hope I can get in, can't do much better gradewise and can't do much about the SATs (but I don't think they matter). I was involved in the transfer club here to help set up trips to schools and run things if reps came down. Also was involved in a club for honors students, although we don't seem to do that much in it.

What are my chances?

Also, how is Binghamton? Be honest please... socially and all that I've heard bad things about it. I've just heard it's a very dull, boring place and everyone hates it. How true is this? Is it worth it to go? It's the one thing holding me back from wanting to go there.

Anyways, any advice/info you wanna throw out there would be appreciated, thanks.

It's not in a nice area...it's ghetto. But the school itself is extremely nice for a state school. I hear their Psychology program is top notch. My uncle attented Binghamton and he LOVED it. Another good reason for going is they have a baseball team (Binghamton Mets) that's a part of the New York Met's farm system...so you can watch players turn into superstars!
