Can I get into any of the top 30 colleges?

Hey I'm new here and really glad to meet you guys. I'm a girl, a junior from a common public school in CA. I came to US in 2011 and 'm not the resident now, but I may get the green card in 2014. If not, I will enroll colleges as an international student.

My GPA is 4.0 in 9th grade, 4.1 in 10th grade and 4.67 in 11th grade (with 4 APs and Honors). Since now I only have a B in sophomore year. (I HATE WH!)
I'm the top 10% of about 1000 juniors in my school.
I've got some awards about academic excellences in Maths and Art.

My first SAT score in Jan.: CR 530 (English is not my first language), Writing 600, Maths 800. SAT subject test score: Chemistry 750, Maths level II 740.
And I'm gonna retake the reasoning test in June and October, my goal score is 2100+.

My extracurricular activities: several clubs, club VP, Track and Field, long-term community service at private school, elementary school and church. And I plan to join the tennis team, CFS, and volunteer at the city library next school year. I don't have any job experience.

I'm thinking about engineering or business as my major. I've considered about some great universities and colleges that I may challenge:
Johns Hopkins University, Cornell University, University of Southern California, UCLA, UC Berkeley.
So can you make a estimate for the chances that I can get admitted to those colleges?
Thanks!!!

USC: Low Match
UCLA/UCB: High Match (I see you getting into one of these two)
Cornell: Low Reach
JHU: Reach

Okay…I get a feeling that your school may not be the most competitive. Nevertheless, although your critical reading and writing scores are fairly atrocious, I can’t argue with an 800. That’s very solid. I suppose there’s nothing wrong with your grades, but again, my instinct tells me you don’t attend a very competitive school. And I suspect application essays for you will be a struggle, since I can easily tell from this post that you are not completely proficient in the English language. Your extras, while they won’t turn heads, are still solid. They won’t hurt. And make sure you keep those grades high like they are now.
If I were you, I would pour my heart and soul out trying to get into UCLA. That school seems to have an affinity for applicants like you. Good luck in the entire process

Thanks for all these critical but encouraging words! It seems that you can read my mind :)

I’m glad you could use my knowledge.
Can you please chance me? I am the Michigan Ross thread
thank you

bump!!!

What is you uw GPA? Also the UC GPA as you are considering 2 UCs. Your SAT score at 1930 is rather low for these top schools. Since you came to the states in 2011, some schools may require TOEFL too. You may want to find it out soon. If you can bring up your scores a little bit, you will have a better chance at UCLA and USC. The other ones need a significant bump in scores.

If you don’t mind my asking, what country are you from?

Thanks, my UW GPA is 3.97. I have enough english credit, but i will take TOEFL if it is still necessary.
