So I'm extremely worried about getting into these two colleges. I have a 4.0 weighted average, and a 3.9 unweighted. Im ranked 25 in my class. Im also in tri-M, chamber orchestra, regular orchestra, president of a.christian club, and a DECA competitor. I also take all AP or college level classes, and ill have about 7 APs when i graduate. My SAT scores are not good (1140) but i took that without studying and knowing what was gonna be on the test. Im retaking it this november after tedious 5 hour sat classes every saturday. Do you guys think i can get into these schools? Sorry for talking so much :P

Also, I’m in national honor society

3.9 unweighted, 25 rank in class

1140 sat (total? - m r w) WHAT?

i have way less better grades and rank and I got a 1580 on first try no study

Its 1140 out of 1600. I want to go to macaulay, but i dont think i can get in. My second choice is baruch honors where i also really wanna go to. I know both programs are competitive so im worroed about getting in :/

Your sat score and class rank are really going to hurt you.

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

Is 25 that bad of a rank? Oh i didnt realize that. By the way, is a 103 average still a 4.0 ?

im trying for baruch (zicklin) so i hope i get in too

Macaulay is not a separate college. It’s a program which exists at various CUNY schools, including Queens, Hunter, Lehman, Brooklyn and a couple of others.

I don’t know if you have a chance of getting in. You should go to the CUNY.edu site and research it.

Baruch is a great school for business, finance and accounting.

Good luck.

Yes, a 103 average is still a 4.0. How much are your AP and honors classes weighted? Also, 7 APs is a bit lower than the minimum when competing at a highly selective program or institution, such as Macaulay. If you don’t mind me asking, what school/area are you from? Macaulay pays attention to the prestige of the high school.
Your SATs are below Macaulay’s standards - and Baruch is the second hardest college to get into within Macaulay. The lowest SAT score Baruch takes is around 1230-1300. The average for last year’s class was around 1380 for Macaulay at Baruch and 1360 for Baruch Honors. Also, your ECs won’t exactly boost your application up, unless you have placed on a state or national level with DECA - keep in mind that most business minded students are trying for Baruch, including NYU Stern and Wharton kids.
Overall, I’d say that both Baruch Honors and Macaulay Honors are a both a high reach. Try and maintain your GPA, get your SATs up, and show a love of economics, finance, or any other business related fields ( if it’s not too late, get an internship NOW ). Macaulay only had about 100 slots open for Baruch students last year, and i’m pretty sure the application pool has increased this year.
