Hi guys, I’m a junior in high school (in my third trimester), and I really want to get into Boston University or Northeastern. Are there better options for me? Thanks for taking the time to answer me
Since you have told us nothing about yourself how can anyone give you advice.
Are you good enough for BU and Northeastern?
That’s weird, I wrote a whole lot of stuff about myself and it didn’t show up. Anyway here you go:
GPA: 3.1 unweighted (out of 4)
SAT superscored: 2040
SAT not superscored: 1990
Math: 700
Writing: 600
Reading: 740
Extracurriculars:
Chess: class B rated player (1617), chess tutor (paid), chess tournament assistant director (paid), leader of chess club
Music (Flute): Band, selected to play publicly once
Volunteering: about 75 hrs volunteering, part of teacher assistant program for a year
Thanks again for your time all
Also:
Next year I’m taking AP physics, Ap comp gov, Ap comp sci, English and Calculus
Plz help guys I’m so nervous
The 3.1 UWGPA will make Northeastern a reach and BU a high match. CGS at BU would be a low match.
@TomSrOfBoston what are the minimum requirements for BU? I expect a 3.1 to make it a reach school…
There are no minimum requirements but the lower your stats the less likeky you are to be admitted in general.
I have three trimesters to improve my gpa according to my counselor. Is it possible to get it up to a 3.4 or 3.5 before college apps?
My grades as of now are as follows:
Math Accelerated:C+ (Dont judge my teacher gives extremely difficult work and doesn’t help us students much)
English: A
History: A+
Physics Honors: B
Spanish: B
