Please just be honest, a yes or no would do just fine.
I go to a very well known college preparatory high school that is not in South Carolina. It has seemed to help because I have gotten very good scholarships to everywhere I have applied. I have a 3.0 GPA and a 25 composite ACT. I know it is not that strong, but I am very involved year round in sports, a few jobs and many volunteer activities. I have a good recommendation available. Clemson is my dream school and I was just wondering if this sounds possible. I know they are probably looking for higher GPAs and ACTs, but so far I have gotten into every school I’ve applied to (all private) and gotten $11k-$22k per year from each. My GPA is uw but it is in all college preparatory classes. Price is not an issue for my college.
Clemson looks at GPA, class rank and test scores primarily when determining admission. Based on that criteria, you do not seem competitive for admission. You may want to look up the Common Data set for Clemson to see how you compare to last year’s acceptances. Acceptances have become extremely competitive over the past several years ( even for instate applicants) with over 20,000 applicants and acceptances at around 50%. I can’t speak for USC.
