Can I get into FAU or UCF with these scores?

I have a weighted GPA of 3.9 unweighted 3.6 or 3.5, one of those…
ACT score 20
SAT score of 1230 (I am retaking this month)
I am a high school student who is graduating with my AA degree in May
I am currently in the process of completing a citizens scholar program: it’s where you do 300 hours in your community
I haven’t done any extracurricular activities except for track and field my junior year.
That’s about it, I have applied for 3 different colleges for fall term and submitted them BUT I haven’t put in my ACT and SAT scores yet so I will probably get those in by April since the deadline is I think May 1st. I don’t think I will get in because I have a bad ACT and SAT score and because I’m turning it in REALLY close to the deadline. At this point there is really no hope for me with the ACT, the SAT i’m trying to study really hard for it but haven’t had time so far and I’m retaking it in like 7 days (March 8th)

Do you think there is still a chance I can get in because of the citizens scholar program? I heard of some people who had really low GPA and test scores but got into the college because they did the program.

Your GPA and EC’s are great for FAU and good for UCF. An ACT score of 20 may be good enough for FAU, but you do have to improve your test scores for UCF. Your ACT of 20 is about the same as a SAT score of 1410, so you need to shoot for a 1500+ or better for FAU and around 1600+ for UCF (for a decent chance).

Good Luck!.

The only thing holding you back is the test score - do as well as you can on improving them. Work on them through the summer if you have to.
