They won't look at your high school records or test scores during the admission process but you'll eventually have to turn your hs transcripts in after you've been admitted. I don't believe they allow double majors if you're admitted to Haas.

Your gpa and ECs seem solid...I would just keep working on perfecting your essay and PS as that plays a 35% role in admission.

hey how do you manage your job and school at the same time? I mean if imagine having your job youd have to work around 4 days a week from 8-6 so how would you fit in flexible hour classes in? or does your bank manage hours so you can have a good amount of classes? (i still dont know how the college system works)

To cerealbox : what type and how many club you have join really doesn't matter (plenty of people fool Haas about their ECs btw). The Point is : how can you use your exp in your club to demonstrate you as a unique person (and to show that what you state in the application is honest ^^). If the admission officer believe u are honest, and you have the qualities (or back ground) they want, you are in. That's why there are some ******* people I know got in, and others really really qualify students got rejected (don't know how to show themselves to the admission committee ). If you don't get what I say right now, you will understand it later hehe (after you got admitted or rejected ^^). This reason also greatly affected the culture in Haas (or Cal in general) compared to other school.
Oh yeah, I don't know if you know what the Haas culture is like ........ It is hard to explain. But just imagine it: if you see a Haas student smiles to you, you should ask "what they want at me" rather than thinking "he/she is so friendly " :D (just a generalization, not mean I am against anyone here ^_^)

If you really get into Haas, you may minor in Computer Science (if you have many CS course from your college). But, I don't think you should take econ classes (it is just not worth compared to UGBA classes)

s_dragon thanks for the advice(do all Haas students do that?)

Collegekid101 the clubs are not all in one year it breaks up into: fall, spring and winter. So I have plenty time for work(in the summer)

Plan: Major in Business and Minor in Comp Science and also Minor in philosophy

Take study courses for the LSAT during the junior year, so I can get the best grade I can have. I learned my lesson from studing for the SAT at the last minute(crappy grades).

Why: So I can get a job at Adobe and show the admission officer at Harvard Law, that I had hard courses and demonstrate to them I am willing to work hard at their school.

It has been my dream to work at White & Case LLP (sigh)

Do you have any idea if this would look good for Harvard Law?
Is it competitive to get a job a Adobe?
Should I major in Comp Science and forget about Business or should I stay with the plan?

work at adobe (computer science) for law school? I don't see the relationship here.
If you plan for Graduate law, Business major is ok (there is relationship between Bus Admin and Law actually, but it's just not as much as some other majors). Personally I think Econ or Poli Sci should be better choices (if you plan to get into law school right away after undergrat). In addition, the chance to get into Haas is much smaller compared to the other two.

VERY IMPORTANT: Complete all prerequisites or there is a great chance you will not get in. This might have already been stated but I am in a hurry and did not read the entire thread.

sorry I dont know how to use the quote message.

Admissions to a top law school is not just a numbers game, though without solid numbers, you probably don't have much of a chance. Once you are in the ballpark with your numbers, though, there is at most law schools an evaluation of the softer factors, such as your recommendations, your personal statement, your achievements and activities, your work experience, the quality of your undergraduate and graduate schools, etc.

challenge or not in depend on students. If you ask a CS major, they may say Econ is hard, and if you ask on the other way around, you will get another opposite answer. I believe Econ and Poli Sci is a better choice because those are Social Science major (Law is kind of like in this category as well). CS doesn't have anything to do with Social neither provide you much social experience from the major. You may get into Law from CS, but .... I just think it's not a good choice.
Also consider about this: If you major in CS, then change into law, your knowledge in CS will almost be ignored and become outdated when years pass by. If you major in Econ or Poli Sci, your knowledge will stay with you and will be improved with your age (really helpful in Law.)
