I am a Junior with a 2.9 GPA and trying to get a 3.2 with my second semester and senior year left. I have been doing choir for 9 years so far and my PSAT scores are 1190, I haven’t taken the SATs or ACTs yet but I am planning to. I really want to get into Ithaca College but I don’t know too much about their GPA and SATs/ACTs requirement. Thank you :).
Their average is 1250. Although I think getting into vocal performance requires audition they kook at regardless of stats.
Yes, the auditioning process is very important @nocontest , however according to another user, “Performance/music education (four-and-a-half-year program) – The performance standards of this program are the same as for the performance degree, with the additional requirements of the music education program. A special audition of a rigorous nature before a committee is required of students desiring to be performance/music education majors. For entering freshmen, this may occur as their entrance audition to the School of Music. However, most students interested in the performance/music education degree wait until the end of their first or second semester for their audition. In the audition the student must exhibit the potential to fulfill, with distinction, the recital obligations of the program.”
I was hoping I could use this program and enter Ithaca and audition after the first semester ^^.
It wouldn’t be bad to use a semester to increase your performance records and GPA If you can get SAT to where it needs to be.
@nocontest Use a semester? Please explain to me what this means ^^",
