Romani I don’t think you understand this but I amnot taking regular classes and if my gpa were weighted normally I would be in the mid 50 percent for gpa as well so please stop talking out of your bum.

I was assuming he meant MSU average. The national average has no bearing on whether or not you get into a school.

Btw, you NEVER answered my ORIGINAL question. Why can’t you get your GPA up at all?

Most people at State don’t take “regular” classes and MANY of us come from unweighted schools.

And my bum doesn’t have vocal cords ;).

I think you should cut back on your schedule next year though. That could end badly with all those AP classes, especially given your GPA. Just apply early. That can really help boost your chances. But your GPA isn’t terrible. It looks like its mostly the result of your freshman year. Don’t worry about it. Just focus on your studies. If you’re really ambitious, study the ACT over the summer and try to get it up to a 27. That could really help A LOT.

So, I did some snooping around in some of the OP’s other posts.

“So I just took the ACT for the first time recently and scored an 18… (Yes I’m stupid)”. Dated 2/28/10
“ACT Composite Score: 24”
Dated 2/28/10
“ACT Score: 28 Composite”
Dated 2/14/10

Most people don’t huh? I take it you are just assuming that. Most people at my school who take honors or ap classes go to michigan or better schools. Honestly your just trying to make msu sound better because you go there

I’m SHOCKED.
The OP might be a ■■■■■?

Well knock me over with a feather!

I turned down UMich to go to MSU. But nice try.

I did get an 18 my first time on a practice test. I asked about a 28 because that was my act goal and I wanted to know my chances if I got that. The 25 I have now was from a real act test that actually counted

Yes because a ■■■■■ goes around putting legitmate grades and extracurriculars up right? You are the two most annoying people I have met on the internet

You’d be surprised what ■■■■■■ can do.

And here you are wanting to go to school with us next year :p

Sorry, just trying to give you an accurate chance:)

The OP has still never answered my original question: why can’t you get your GPA up any more?

And are you going to retake the ACT?

You know, if you want help, it’s good to answer questions rather than attack people trying to help you. Or do you only want us to tell you what you want to hear?

What’s annoying me is the fact that you call me immature and say I have the wrong attitude even though you guys keep coming back here thinking you need the last word.

You guys are accusing me of being a ■■■■■ because I wanted to know my chances at a college with a 28 on my ACT? That’s pretty funny.

Anyways it’s beyond obvious that the other girl or whatever is trying to brag about her gpa acting like she took hard classes even though she only got a 1800 on her SAT. I’m not saying I can do better, but I’m 100% sure my classes are much more difficult then her’s because I have no good teachers at my school making it even harder to get a good grade because they test us on things we’ve never learned. In some of my classes I got C’s where my friends got B’s. These friends still pulled off 32’s or 33’s on there ACT’s but only have a 3.6 GPA. In turn her GPA means nothing and should probably stop bragging about it, especially when she can barely pass her AP exams.

“Sorry, just trying to give you an accurate chance”

So your chance was that I was going to be deferred 100%?

If anyone is ■■■■■■■■ it would be you. I am fine with people telling me I will probably get deffered as long as they gave me a reason.

Everybody just chill. Vij, I understand why you are upset, but just chill. Flame wars are uncool, especially on the internet.

If you were slightly more mature, you’d have let go of psilovethomas by now. But YOU as well need to come back and get “every last word.” Some serious hypocracy sir.

Not at all.

It was actually the inconsistency.

Everyone already agreed she was over-the-top. You’re fixated on it. Besides, this is not her chance thread.

My problem with you is that you seem to blame everyone but don’t actually take responsibility, not even partial.

Ok? And you had a 25. I don’t really see your point. No offense. I got a D with a 33 on my ACT. Grades do not necessarily correlate to ACT scores.

Well, it’s actually irrelevant since AP test grades have no weight on admissions.

And you’ve STILL never answered my original question. Do you have a selective memory problem?

Whoot vicodine and caffeine have me on a roll tonight :).

penguin, I had every intention of helping you. Let me restate what I said in my original post on here:

Sounds like genuine advice, no? I asked you a QUESTION to help me get a better image of YOUR situation. To HELP you. But INSTEAD you CHOSE to IGNORE what other people had said and chose to fixate on PS.

I asked about 5 times the same question- to HELP you. I could care less as to whether or not you get into MSU, but I was going to TRY to get a better picture of YOUR situation to HELP you.

Jeeze.

I don’t feel the need to answer your question. (=
