Can I get into Pitt?

I'm only a sophomore in HS but I screwed up freshman year. I got a 3.5 on 4.3 scale and without honors. This year I have two honors class next year I will hopefully have more along with AP. I also have strong extracurriculars if I have an upward trend and bring my gpa to like a 3.8 and do good on the SAT would I be able to get in. Or is this already a reach also. Also what do you think I need to do these next 2-3 years to get in if possible. Pitt is my dream school and I want to do premed. I'm also oos.

Try not to bring too many “what if” factors into the situation, as it makes it very difficult to give an accurate depiction as to whether or not you’ll be accepted. According to the Pitt website, the middle 50% SAT scores are 620-730 M, 600-720 CR, 590-690 W. If you can get your GPA to an unweighted 3.8 and get SAT scores somewhere in this range, then you can most likely get accepted to Pitt.

To improve you chances, try taking a tough curriculum, getting a good class rank if your school does that, and join a select number of ECs that your actually passionate about (and in future years, attain leadership positions in these things.) These are standard things every applicant should do to improve their chances of getting into any college.

Thnx for the advice
