Hey people its my dream to get into Stanford but I just wanna know if it I should let my hopes up on getting into Stanford with the profile I have. Please help.

I am currently in 12th grade in Symbiosis International College studying arts.
I have played badminton at district, state and national level and have represented my school and won consecutively for 3 years. I am at the moment out with an injury but will be back in 10-11 more months.

I have given 3 national level exams for classical Indian singing. I can also play the paino and pethi well.

My passion is writing. I have written a novel, a love story which is getting published internationally and it is right now in the editing process.

I have always got an A+ at school.

I have interned under a psychiatric for 4 months and also taught grammar to kids.

I write songs and poems and draw paper based graffiti.

I want to get into Stanford to study psychology.. I aim on getting minimum 2000 in my sat exam.

people please reply and also I can speak 4 languages fluently

What’s your SAT and ACT scores. What is your unweighted GPA. You are going to need higher than a 2000 on your SAT. Stanford 25th-75th percentile is around 2100-2400. Do you have any other extracurricular activities.

I have not given sat yet. what else do i need? what else would u recommend? will the fact that my book is getting published internationally not help?

Stanford is a reach for everyone. Is your book by any chance also going be published in the United States? It may be even harder for you to get in solely because you are an international student. And nothing can really be said until you have your test score results.

Make sure you build up a list of safety and match schools don’t put all your eggs in one basket in case Stanford doesn’t pan out.

Do you have a GPA translated to American standards? Do you have any other EC activities? Any international awards? Have you taken any practice SAT tests yet to diagnose where you are at now?

yes my book will be sold in the united states as well… and I took diagnostic tests and right now I am scoring around 2000. My sat exam is in october. and besides writing I have badmiton at national level, singing and instruments at national level.

Winnie97 says he/she always got A+'s. That would be 4.00 GPA, wouldn’t it?

I don’t think you need more EC’s – what you do outside of school sounds pretty focused, I think Stanford would like that.

Just try to get at least 2100 in your SAT so you’re not “eliminated” in first reading. I think doing lots and lots of full-length tests would make a big difference.

Another point is financial aid. I’d say as an international student, your chances are minimal if you can’t pay.

I don’t mean to discourage you at all, 10% of the student body is international. But it’s even tougher for them to get in, that’s for sure.

In any case, you do sound like an interesting person.
.
So aim high and apply! Good luck!

thank u so much perseverance… I am girl btw… There is no problem about paying for college…

also, make sure you’re a leader in what you do. and write a passionate essay. good luck!
