Can i get into the Air Force Academy or Naval Academy?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I recently received a nomination to the Air Force Academy and was wondering if I now have a legitament chance of getting into there or the Naval Academy.</p>

<p>-I finished my applications a long time ago
-I have a 620 in Reading and 640 in Math
-Major in AFJROTC Core
-Boys State Attendy
-Eagle Scout
-3.5 unweighted GPA
-Minimum honors classes, 6 AP classes
-Attended the Air Force Academy on a Candidate Weekend
-Invited to do so with the Navy
-Have had very positive interviews with ALOs</p>

<p>Opinions help too, wont find out if i get into either one until March!</p>

<p>That nomination is the first step - you’re ahead of many who are alternates. Whoever nominated you thinks you have a decent shot, or you wouldn’t have gotten the nomination. With the nomination, you chance at Air Force is greater than at Navy - because you would need someone with a nomination to not get in and for you to be the alternate that gets chosen.</p>
