Can I get into the colleges I want to go to?

This may be long so here is a heads up.

I used to live in California and plan on going back there for college or somewhere of interest. I live in Wisconsin and I hate it here but UW is a good school.

I plan on applying to UCSB, UCLA, USC, University of Arizona, University of Oregon, Ohio State, University of North Carolina, University of Florida, Michigan State, University of Washington, and University of Wisconsin. I want to go to these schools for many reasons and they are my dream colleges. I would hope to get in so here is my story. (BTW I am Fillipino)

I messed up my freshmen year bad and ended with an overall GPA of 2.6, then messed up my first semester of Sophomre year and got a 2.8. I also failed World Civilizations the first semester but finished all of the work at the beginnimg of the summer and got an A. I got a 4.0 the following semester and I am currently a Junior in second semester. I got a 3.95 my first semester and plan on getting good grades throughout the rest of my high school carear. I plan on working hard to get good test scores as well.

What can I do to boost my GPA? I plan on taking AP English, AP history, and Calculus my senior year. What else can I do to boost my GPA? Will online classes over the summer help? I also have Varsity Lacrosse, DECA, and 40 community service hours under my record.

Can I get into those colleges if I put in that work? What are my chances?

Also not to sound snobby or anything but money isnt an issue

What is your overall GPA? SAT/ACT scores? California UC’s only use 10th-11th grades and since you will OOS, you need a UC GPA of 3.4 to qualify to apply. Here is the GPA calculator and only AP classes 10-11 grades count for the extra honors points.

USC/UCLA would be a Reach at this point. UCSB would be a low reach. Alot will depend hiw much you can raise your GPA by end of Junior year and your test scores.

For all my years so far including freshmen year I would have a 3.21 gpa but if UC schools calculate 10th and 11th grade only then so far I would have a 3.55 gpa so far excluding the current semester I take the ACT in March and have yet to take the SAT but my PSAT score was 198 out of 240. If i get a 3.8-4.0 this semester I could qualify to apply right?

According to the website you linked, if I calculate overall my 10th and 11th grade GPA, assuming I get all As this semester(which is definately a possibility) I would end with a 3.71 gpa.

Sorry for coming in with more information. My freshmen year I took the ACT explore and got an 18 -___- Hopefully since then I improved and I hope to get a lot better score for the real deal.

This is a much better website - http://gpacalculator.net/how-to-raise-gpa/

Your year end grades are what would count for sophomore and junior years, Look carefully at what the UCs consider. I believer SAT2 scores weigh heavily. DOn’t know how ACT fits in with them or AP tests results and courses.

Many UC’s recommend SAT 2 subject tests, not require them, but should still consider taking them especially for STEM majors. Math 2 and some science are the most common. A UC GPA of 3.7 would put you in contention for UC Merced/Riverside and Santa Cruz. Get an ACT of around 28 or higher and you have a good chance. The rest of the UC’s average GPA is 4.0+ so unless you have outstanding essays and EC’s, your best chances are these 3 schools. I would also add in a couple of Cal States such as CSULB, SDSU or CSUF depending on major. USC, UCLA and UCSB are out of range.
