Can I get Into these boarding schools with full financial aid?

@22louisl sir/mam, thanks for your thoughts :slight_smile:

I really don’t have time! next TOEFL is on 19 January! And no school will accept it’s score (Except PA).

That’s why I can’t, give it :frowning:

The SSAT tells you the percentile you scored in, you don’t calculate it. I don’t believe that someone who scored in the 70s and 80s for quant and verbal, and a 49 in reading would receive an overall 8th percentile. However, even a 77th percentile (as stated earlier from the OP) would make a very very difficult journey ahead for an international full FA.

I don’t think anyone can get into such a selective BS with an 8th percentile unless they’re like the headmaster’s kid.

@babymalcolm I’m also wondering how it’s 8? I’m going to give this report to my mam!

And, thanks for your reply! what about you? how much you got?

I think that you calculated your Q/R/V percentiles like you calculated your total percentile. Go onto the SSAT website, and check the percentile on your score report. It should be displayed just like your overall percentile.

For me, all I can say was that it was adequate.

If PA accepts its score then take it, its the best chance you can get with ur SSAT

Just to give you a bigger picture, if you’re score is in the 8th percentile, you scored worse than 92% of people who took the test. The Phillips Exeter Academy average is the 95th percentile, which translates approximately to 2250 (as I assume since that was my percentile). I don’t mean to sound condescending at all. You seem like a very genuine, kind and smart person, but that score will not cut it. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck through the admission process and beyond! Don’t let rejection define how you see your life because you will continue to do great things regardless.

I just received my SSAT score! It’s 1767!
Okay, I gave the SSAT test as an 8th’s grader! and in 8’th grade, 1997 is the average score!

(N.B: Phillips Exeter Academy gave me the fee for my SSAT exam. They said they liked me. That’s why I gave the SSAT without any cost! )

Phillips Academy waved both of “SSAT’s Fee & Application fee” after seeing my application’s 1st part. Every other school also, waved my “Application Fee”, after seeing my Application’s 1st part

My first choice is: “Phillips Exeter Academy”. But, I’m not neglecting others. If I get chance, I will be admitted to one of the other schools too.

Interview: Going to give Exeter’s Interview tomorrow. Hope, I will able to do well. I have scheduled other school’s interview
too.

So, what do you think my chances are to be accepted? I really need Full (100% scholarship).

Would you consider an all boys school? Or a less competitive school with rolling admissions? Or applying as a repeat 9th grader next year after working to improve your Verbal score?

Mam, is there any less competitive school or all boys school, which gives full financial aid to international students?

your SSAT score seems to be low, only 1767 ! I am afraid you will not get any offer from the schools you listed.
As I know, my friend’s daughter, she got 99 percentile overall, with full mark 800 in verbal section , total score of 2331, , also 99% in verbal, 94% in quantitative, and 99% in reading. she is apply for grade 9.
