Tufts is a reach, but it is not beyond your reach; it’s possible.
Your Math SATI is a bit low, but your Math II subject test is great. A great score on the physics test would be a boost, and you might try taking the SATI again.
You will need to write compelling essays to stay in the mix.
Good luck!

Tufts is always interested in more international students, so being from india is def a plus! I would bring up your SAT I math and writing to the low 700s at least and you’d have a really good shot through Early Decision. If you got a 790 on the Math SAT II you should definitely be able to bring your math to 740+ with a little practice. good luck!

they count the writing score?

They see it on your application, so why not try to raise it? It’s not hard to raise a writing score.

If you’re not asking for financial aid, you’ll breeze through if you apply early decision… (regular if you increase the SAT 1 to 2100)
If you are asking for full financial aid, the closest you’re gonna get is a camping trip to medford (even if you get a 2100)…
Anything in between, you can place it yourself…

I think you look pretty darn good…you have some impressive activities like the IIT internship (I think many people aren’t aware of it’s presitgious nature esp for a high school student, but i have family in India so I am aware of it…)

I think you’re a better candidate than most International students are. Good luck!

Umm, I don’t see how this person will breeze through with that gpa and sat. Still solid

He’s won awards for continuous inquiry, courage and following his dreams… how can he not at least apply? To not, would be directly hypocritical. :)

As an international student, financial aid plays a major part…remember, Tufts ain’t need blind for internationals (95% for domestic)…
I know a person with about a 2000 in her SAT, bad GPA and no ecs who got into Tufts…and she had not asked for financial aid…compared to that, this guy’s bronze…that’s why he’ll breeze through in ED if he doesn’t ask for FA…

im not asking for FA…but im probly not applying ED either…however…i will change my SAt scores at least in Math…to a 750 and will push for a 3.8+ in 1st semester senior year
