Thank you for taking your time to look at my thread and if you guys can think of any other schools that i should think to apply to, please let me know because I am very open to any college!!!

Thanks!

For UIUC - Business, yes, Engineering depends on which field. Mech, BioEng, CS would be a maybe others probably. UIUC doesn’t care/look at extracurriculars, leadership or anything else, it is purely a GPA (and rank) and ACT/SAT1 calculation. Letters of recommendation are not submittable. There is an essay requirement but it is usually not read or considered.

You make it sound like UIUC is non-holistic. If you applied to UMO, Iowa state schools (you qualify for their auto-admit plans) or a CSU then you could actually say that ECs and essays are not considered. However, UIUC does consider that somewhat, although I suspect more weight is placed on ECs and essays if one is rummaging through waitlistees.

UIUC business: Low match
UIUC engineering (non-computer): Low match
UIUC engineering (computer): Match/High match

You will have no problem getting in. You would be in the 90% there probably in gpa and act. But if you live in Illinois then you will have no issue. OOS might be a little harder.

Thank you guys so much! I look forward to all of this, and could you guys potentially come up with other college matched for me? I am so undecided it’s unnerving.

Your scores is right at the CoE admission average of UMich. Direct admission to Ross would be more difficult, but you should be a match for LSA.

Don’t get too confident, though. Being a match doesn’t mean you’ll get in, only that you have about an average chance. Average chances at UMich and UIUC still aren’t that great.
