Can I get into UB with a 2.9?

I’m kind of worried about my chances of getting into UB. I have an UW GPA of 2.9 currently ending my junior year, and I feel like just that alone will ruin my chances. I am applying EA and I heard their acceptances for EA are a little higher but their average GPA is still much higher than mine. To give you some other stats I have a 1210 SAT (590 Math, 620 Reading) and some great EC’s (sport all four years and captain next year, science club and campaign all four years, volunteering all four years, job starting junior year). Many seniors go to UB from our school as we’re local and are highly ranked compared to other HS’s. My intended major is psych or environmental science (still haven’t chosen). Hope you can give me some advice or some insight.

by UB do you mean the University of Baltimore?

Probably University at Buffalo, SUNY

I’ve known kids accepted with your stats, though they are lower than average.

The University of Bridgeport seems like a reasonable match to OP’s stats (?).

@kimonofubus I think that you should be clearer regarding which UB you are referring to. Remember that while this web site is US-centric, people participating here really are all over the US and to some extent all over the world.

I meant University at Buffalo. Sorry for the confusion.

If not UB, would you consider Buffalo State? Or any of the other SUNYs?
