Can I get into UCF summer term with my sub-par academics?

Hello, I am currently a junior with a 3.6 uw gpa, a 4.45 weighted gpa, and a core academic GPA of a 3.8-3.9 I believe.
I’m in a competitive magnet school and I’m trying to work my way up to the top 10% of the class ( currently in the top 11% )
ACT (first try) : 24
This will be my senior year schedule
AP Econ
AP Stats
AP Psych
Gov Honors
Marine Science Honors
English 1101 ( Dual Enrollment )
Anatomy and Physiology Honors
Guitar 1 and Keyboard
By the Senior year, including my courses in senior year I will have 7 AP’s and 1 DE ( 1 Freshman year, 1 Sophmore year, 2 Junior year, 3 Senior year and 1 DE ) and 11 Honors (3 freshman year, 2 sophomore year, 3 junior year, 3 senior )
LOTS OF EC’s:
Co-Creator and Historian of Creative Writing Club
S.P.E.A.K Poetry club/ hosted coffeehouse poetry twice
MODS volunteer of the year
Volunteer at BROWARD Hospital
S.H.A.P.E
Key Club
JV lacrosse co-captain
Spanish National Honor Society
DECA
DECA Class Secretary
200+ CS hours
Etc.
The problem is, I suffer from anxiety that impacts my testing ability.
I have just taken the SAT and ACT for the first time without much studying and I don’t like my test scores.
My SAT is really low so I’m not going to bother with that test, however the ACT is the one I prefer
I want to raise my 24 to at least a 29 so I can have a better chance.
I was wondering what are my chances with a 24 and if/ how I can raise my score or if there’s anything else to improve.

I think you still have a pretty good chance considering your GPA and extra curriculars are very good. Just breathe - your higher GPA will help with your lower test scores. Keep working hard on the ACT though.

Dude, I think you will totally be okay. I was just accepted with a 3.5 UW gpa 3.9 W gpa and 1380 SAT (new). Your gpa is stellar and that, combined with your extracurriculars and course load will balance out your ACT. My best friend was also admitted to UCF and he had an ACT score lower than yours. I think you have a great shot!

Based on your GPA and extracurriculars, I’d say you would definitely get in. Even with your current ACT score I think you’d be fine, but striving for a better score is always a good thing to do!

You’ll get in easy if you maintain that gpa. Good luck with those AP tests (those are good choices to help with gep). If you get that ACT score up I see a scholarship in your future.

Best of luck!
