hey guys, so I’m going into senior year of high school and I’m trying to get into ucf. I have a 3.85 weighted GPA and was in all honors except math. I took the act twice and got a 23 on both and am planning on taking it again. If I don’t do better on the act and I apply to ucf with those stats do you think I will get accepted?
Your gpa is on target for what they want but get that test score up. If the rest of your application is very strong, especially if you’re able to set yourself apart with the essay, you could get in but it would be wise to try to raise it to at least a 25 or 26 to have a strong chance of getting in. Also check your class ranking because if you’re in the top 10% of your class you get automatic admission (it’s called Top 10 Knights).
Try the SAT, you might do better on it.
Go Knights!
I actually had a pretty similar weighted GPA in high school and I just finished my first semester at UCF! Make sure to apply early, maybe get that ACT up a little bit and don’t leave out any extracurriculars and/or recommendations. If they defer you, just keep retaking tests until you get in (that’s what I did).
If your heart is set on UCF, applying for summer start may help your chances.
