I’m gonna start my junior year in hs, and I’d love to go to UCLA. I have a gpa of 4.0, and last year took no ap/ib classes. I have straight A’s and this year I’m going to do cheer and volunteer at an elementary school and the library (maybe even a hospital). This year I’m taking Apush, Apes, Ap english, French (advanced), dance, pre calc.
Thanks guys!
Ps: I want to major in biochemistry and go to medical school!
Impossible to know without an SAT/ACT score. Also you only just got done with your sophmore year so it hasn’t been nearly enough time, 2/3 of your GPA is still unknown.
@gis1313 UC GPA only takes into account sophomore and junior years. you don’t have half of your GPA, or any test scores. come back later.
The college of letters and science is fairly easy to get into since they do not admit by major. However, your ACT will have to be 25+.
@Dhruv97 No it is not easy to get into. Over 110k applicants applied last year and several 2300+'s/4.0’s got rejected due to the sheer amount of applications.
It’s much more random at UCLA now that so many people are applying.
Here is the averages for the Freshman class last year 2014. Also note that an ACT of 25 would not be anywhere close to being competitive, more like 30+.
