Can i get into UCSC or is an appeal my only shot

-GPA- 3.942 w
-UC GPA- 3.61 w (if i calculated right)
-SAT II's- take December 6 (for the 1st time)
-ACT- take December 13 (for the 1st time)
-SAT I- wont take by the time scores have to be sent in for admissions. it was either to take the SAT II's and sent in SAT I late of vice versa. i think the SAT II's and ACT on time is the best choice given my situation.

*test score deadline for UCSC is 1/15

EC:
-Art Club- 2 years
-Key Club- 2 years
-Recycling Club- 2 years
-International Club- 1 year
-Hiking Club- 1 year
-worked full time 40 hrs a wk for 4 months of school
-worked part time 20 hrs a wk for 6 months of school
-i took a out of school ceramics class for a year
-Varsity Swim team 2 years

community service-
- besides Key club i also volunteered at a local pet rescue and adoption agency for roughly 200 hours total
-Set up a recycling a green action plan at a smoothie and nutritional store i worked at (halogen lights, green friendly cleaning materials, and the recycling of all waste materials, plus the left over or food that is about to go stale was giving to a homeless shelter) all thanks to me! ps store is no logger in business and i have no ties to my past employer or any thing so i cant get a recommendation form them! dang it

i want to go to UCSC so bad!!!!

Appeal Action Plan
new information:
-i will have taken courses over to have a UC GPA of hopefully a 3.9 w if all goes well by the time the day comes to appeal
- also i will have taken an extra not needed Economics or Sociology course just for the heck of it (pssh yeah right)
- also new SAT II, ACT, or SAT I test scores depending on how things pan out.
-and a super recommendation letter from school when they see how i have managed to take over so many classes and what an over achiever i am (or tried to be)

ps the way i can take over so many classes in the time frame is because i am in an independent study program ( i have to read the text book and learn the stuff to take tests on each section to get grades) i went to a regular high school for 9th grade 10th grade and one semester of 11th grade. and independent study is so hard because i have to teach my self everything with just a book there is no extra credit of cheating to raise grades. just me and my jugular

i know this is a lot but what do you think UCSC material for acceptance or appeal acceptance?

I think the deadline for UC's is 11/30, and they need ACT or SAT plus SAT II's...don't know how that will work if you have no test results by the deadline, but good luck.

The deadlines for test scores are in late december/january, so you're good with testings.

You should be in at UCSC. Are you in ELC?

no i am not ELC. I am out of state

so you think i can get in without appealing as long as my test scores are decent?

bump it baby

Hard to say. You don't know your test scores yet and you've never taking any standardized testing before. UCSC has pretty low standards, but your out of state status increases the standards. If you do good on your standardized tests IE 30+ on the ACT and at least 700+ on each SAT 2, you probably have a good chance of getting in.
