Can I get into UF with this?

I know U of Florida is highly selective and it's really annoying. I also know that they're cutting down on the amount of IB kids they let in. Do I stand a chance =/

I'm a middle class black female. First generation American, first to go to college in my (immediate) family.
Florida resident.

I'm an IB student (all four years). As of now, my GPA is 3.1 unweighted, 4.4 weighted. (Top 15% of my class)

Took, AP World History (2), AP European History (1), and AP Psychology (4), IB Chemistry SL (4). (I didn't care for history during 9th and 10th grade)

Enrolled in:
IB Math Studies SL
IB Theory of Knowledge
IB Contemporary History HL
IB Spanish V SL
IB Psychology II HL
IB English IV HL
AP Music Theory

My SAT scores are lookin crappy =/ Math: 540, CR: 500, WR: 620
(taking November test, any suggestions for help greatly appreciated).
ACT score = 23. I'm retaking Oct 23.

Extracurriculars:
Marching Band: Two years awarded two letters
Concert Band: Two years
Ecology Club, 4 years
Key Club, 2 years (Historian/Editor)
SADD 2 years (president)
Cougars Care Sew Much (crocheting afghans for those in need)
Student Venture

Spanish National Honor Society
Science National Honor Society
Beta Club
(Possibly) National Honor Society

Florida Hospital (Volunteer)
Ronald McDonald House (Volunteer) Crochet afghans and teddy bears for children.

I HONESTLY THINK I'M GOING TO BE REJECTED =/
I've been studying out of the Princeton 2010/2011 and the BB. I'm trying to get AT LEAST 600s on Math and CR and a 26 on the ACT. (feasible?)

Please give honest feedback. I want my years of IB to pay off.
(I'm also applying to USF, UCF, FSU, and UM but UF is my number one choice)

Bump

You might want to post this on the UF subforums as well

you have a higher chance than me

You have a chance. UF has their own GPA that they calculate weighted, your your in a better chance with that then your UW.

If you can get your SAT or ACT to the scores you want then I think your okay. Not in by any stretch, but an okay shot!

Good luck!

I’m kind of in the same situation, with a bit higher stats.

I think you should get in if you raise your SAT scores. But you still see IB students like these (or even higher stats) getting rejected every year, yet the traditional students with lower stats get in. Decisions seem random but it really shows you how they value the IB program. :(
