I want to get into UF!!

University of Florida has been my dream school ever since I was a little girl. Basically, my whole family has attended there. Both my grandmas, my parents, aunts and uncles, my cousin just graduated, and my sister is attending now. I have a 3.75 gpa (which I know isn't excellent). Also, my test scores are pretty low. I was granted a 504 from the College Board at the end of my Sophomore year, so I believe I have a reason for my low scores. I submitted my application last week and I tried so hard on it! I fit in everything I could and had several people proof read it. This may be too much to share, but I recently had the privilege to speak with a woman who works in admissions. I was very lucky to have had this opportunity. Will it help at all? Will being a legacy help at all? I am doing everything I can to get in! Thank you!!

Here are some stats about me:
200+ service hours
Technical Theatre major at an arts school which requires many hours of staying after school
Many leadership positions in my city/school
NHS
works with kids with Down syndrome (Freshman-Senior year)
There is so much more, a lot of it is just stuff I can't say on here, but when I told the woman everything I had done the first thing she said was, "Do you ever sleep?!"

Is that good????

yes this is very good!

If your 3.75 GPA is un-weighed, and you’ve taken honor/AP/IB/AICE/DE classes, then your UF GPA should be fine. Your EC’s are great. :)

Good Luck!

Thank you! I’m just hoping for the best at this point.

I take honors and AP. Thank you! I was worried about my EC’s!
