I just wanted to know If I have a chance of getting into USC. I have a 3.4 GPA, a 2150 on the SAT, and a full load of IB/AP classes. I have played basketball for four years at school and am a two year member of ASB (associated student body - leadership). I'm caucasian ( i hear that race is kinda important know), I want to major in International Business/ Economics and I live just outside of Los Angeles. Do I qualify? please let me know thanks

your gpa's a tad low....but I think you have a shot

USC seems to care a lot about GPA, which may not bode well, but if you put a lot of effort into your application, i think you have a shot. good luck!

USC:
* 90% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
* 8% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
* 2% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49

lol those stats are such bs.i know you got them from the college board but theyre so skewed.

yeah those stats are skwewed for sure... i checked on their site and the average unweighted gpa was a 3.7 out of 4. so obviously how can 90 percent have 3.75+

That stats wont make sense if it's uw, but it makes sense if it's weighted.

I think the data on CB is supposed to be weighted (which is misleading).

To the OP: I'd say slight reach (50-50). Maybe a high match, depending on your W GPA.

i would simply keep trying and hope and pray you get in!!
:)bestt wishess…

im prob. superr late.
hope u got in!

I got in with a 3.8 GPA unweighted so I don’t really know what to say. I think you’re scores are good but in all honesty you should try to pull up your GPA or I don’t think you will be competitive.

i got in! spring admit to marshall!

USC cares a lot more about test scores than gpa. If you can get up to a 2200, you have a good shot at Spring admission.

^This is exactly accurate. (Verified, too, by Naviance scattergrams.)

haha no no no. this is old thread of mine from about a year ago. I was just letting all the posters know that i got into USC Marshall as a Spring Admit. (instead of already in school this fall.)

I got in with a 2090 (i beefed up my stats a bit on the original post because thats what i had hoped for on my second SAT) on the SAT and a 3.2 unweighted GPA. Plenty of EC’s and a good essay. Hope this helps future USC hopefuls. Thanks for everyones help.

Hello!

I am currently living on campus on the USC campus. I will not be living in my apartment in the spring 2010 semester as i am senior and am looking for incoming freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors to take my spot in housing who are going to attend USC in the spring 2010 semester and do not currently have a contract with USC housing (or are continuing USC students who do not have a USC housing contract). It is a great place to live and a great way to become involved in the vital community that is this campus! You will love it. All incoming and continuing students are welcome to inquire as I need to be released from my contract at the end of December. Your contact, should you choose to take up the offer will go for the spring 2010 semester (January-May) and then you will be free to choose where you want to live next. PLEASE, FEMALES ONLY INQUIRE as only females only can live in this apartment: GRAD students welcome to inquire, but UNDERGRAD students are given preference.

Details: Fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment (kitchen, living room, bathroom), parkside apartments. Washing machine located on same floor, Meal plan included with dining cash. Apartment on 2nd floor, easily accessible and very very sweet and curteous roommate.
You will be living with one other female occupant (she is very helpful, kind,smart, etc)
Happy hunting everyone!
